Passikudah

Passikudah Beach recognized as one of safest beaches in Sri Lanka located in the Eastern coast of Sri Lanka. The nearest city is Batticoloa, The civil war left these towns hidden away from both locals & foreign tourists.  Throughout the year the beach is fully crowded with travellers from all around the world. The sea is visualized with crystal clear water.

Arugam Bay

Located 320 kms from Colombo Arugam Bay is a world famous surfing hotspot. Surfing is best from April to October. An International surf contest is held annually in which the world’s top surfers take part at Arugam Bay. Apart from surfing it is also known for scuba diving, and snorkelling. Arugam Bay is a place for migrant birds, and elephant watching.

Nilaveli

Nilaveli Is one of the finest beach resorts located 15kms away  from  Trincomalee . A 15km stretch extends from Uppuveli which is 5 kms from Trincomalee. Pigeon Island nearby could be visited by boat for sun bathing & snorkelling.

Bentota

Bentota has been a popular beach resort  among tourists due  to it’s close proximity to Colombo & Galle. Bentota beach is divided into two sections, one being the still water of the Bentota Lagoon and the other being the ‘Paradise Island on the North. The Bentota Lagoon offers the  tourists  a wide range of water sports  activities such as wind surfing, water skiing, canoeing, banana – boating  and deep sea fishing. Bentota river has been an important tourist attraction since the 19th Century. Boat safaris can also be taken up the beautiful rivers that provide an ideal opportunity to observe a variety of fauna from herons to crocodiles. Galapata temple & a turtle hatchery could be visited.

Unawatuna

Unawatuna near Galle is a beautiful wide curving golden beach. This beach has been acclaimed amongst 12 best beaches in the world. There is a reef protecting the beach which makes it safe for bathing. Plenty of water sports offered at Unawatuna like scuba diving & surfing

Mirissa

The seas off the coast of  Mirissa  offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for visitors as it is currently becoming a major hotspot  for spotting whales and dolphins. The main port of Sri Lanka for watching whales and dolphins is Dondra Point of down south because it is located closely to their migration path. The season for sighting these mammals are during November to April, out of which December, January and april are the peak months. During these months the probability of spotting sperm whales and blue whales are very high moreover the chances of spotting spinner dolphins off dondra Point are also high.

Negombo

Negombo situated by the shores of a lagoon by the same name once has been a trading port for Portugese and Dutch and is an ideal place for those who want quick access to and from the airport Negombo is a beautiful beach resort on the western  coast of Sri Lanka, just a short drive north of Colombo.
